Bro. Lito Dunio trying to hold his tears back as he had his time to share in front of the crowd regarding the brotherly love he experienced in the community. The day has come that he has to bid goodbye to the UAE CFL Community as he ventures another God’s blessing to another part of the world. “Di ko malilimutan ang experience ko dito sa loon ng community, ma-mimiss ko kayo”

This was the closing part of this talk as our speaker Tito Ed goes into details the meaning of brotherly love. In 1 Peter 5:2 – It says, watching over them (our brethren) not because we must, but because we are willing”. We have the eagerness to serve. Households are a great privileged to this very work of Jesus Christ in serving the people. As servants, we become his instruments of his grace & blessings to others. So let us take it not just an assignment but a responsibility. This task is never easy it is a great challenge to us, but remind ourselves that we will not take care our flocks, the way we want it to be but in the way God wants it to be.

Love, in every talk is the vital piece in doing so; love is the very essence – why we are doing this. Brotherly Love in Matthew 10, As a leader we are the one serving instead of being served… this is the act of giving ourselves willingly. Jesus is our chief shepherd but he didn’t come to be served, he came to serve according to his example. Let us all keep the attitude of humility as one of the bible scripture says, whoever wants to be great among you must serve, who wants to be first should be last; this is the principle of Servant Leadership.

Concern for the practical needs, Availability to other people & Expression of affection are the 3 concrete qualities of a brotherly love. Love, encourage, be a big brother or sister to our members and do an extra mile to know them better.

This may be difficult but with God’s grace, everything is possible.

God can’t use us until we let our hand off, LET GO & LET GOD do the rest with his grace.
